Scleral buckling (SB) continues to have a relevant role in clinical practice, and it should be the treatment of choice for specific types of retinal detachments, ensuring better visual and anatomical outcomes compared to pars plana vitrectomy. Despite the common principle, different approaches are described. This video brings up a “step-by-step” enlightening some tips and pitfalls, with the proposal of "sharing and learning" this painstaking surgery.
