Abstract General Information
Title
Retinal slippage in giant retinal tear.
Abstracts
Retinal detachment with giant tear is a surgical challenge and relatively common among rhegmatogenous retinal detachments.
To avoid slippage we opted to perform endolaser under perfluor at the edge of the giant rupture before performing fluid-air exchange and a slow fluid-air exchange. We observed that despite care posterior retinal slippage occurred.
Other options to avoid this type of complication common in cases of giant tears such as: perfluor-silicone oil exchange.
