SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF RECURRENT RETINAL DETACHMENT
Abstracts
This is the case of a 78 year old male who presented a recurrent retina detachment due to PVR 30 days after primary vitrectomy with silicone oil(SO) for the treatment of macula OFF retinal detachment in his left eye. Scleral Buckle was sutured, SO removed and a fluid air exchange was initially performed. Under air, Brilliant blue die was used to diffusely stain the ILM. Perfluorocarbon Liquid (PFCL) was injected and the membranes were removed under PFCL, being a safe technique for PVR removal.
