Surgical Treatment of Valsalva Retinopathy

Abstracts

A 38-year-old man comes to our service complaining of sudden visual loss in the right eye for 01 day, after physical activity.
Best visual acuity was count fingers (2m)
Biomicroscopy with no alterations.
Fundoscopy showed preretinal macular hemorrhage (sub ILM?), suggesting the diagnosis of Valsalva Retinopathy.
Successful phacoemulsification and pars plana vitrectomy was performed, with ILM Peeling. This patient presented, 30 days after the surgery, best corrected visual acuity 20/25.
