Scleral Buckling for Retinal Detachment

Abstracts

A 38-year-old man with a high myopic condition (-15,00) comes to our service complaining of low visual acuity in the right eye for 04 days.
Best visual acuity was hands movement.
Biomicroscopy with clear lens and tobacco dust.
Fundoscopy showed macula off retinal detachment, with a horseshoe tear in the upper peripheral nasal area.
Scleral buckle and cryotherapy was performed. This patient presented, 30 days after, best corrected visual acuity 20/30, without residual subretinal fluid.
