Surgical Management of High Myopic Foveoschisis

Abstracts

81 yo male with decreased vision in the right eye for one year. Visual acuity was < 0,5. Fundus revealed pathological myopia. OCT showed tractional myopic foveoschisis. PPV was performed and the posterior hyaloid was already detached. Brilliant Blue dye was used which selectively stains the ILM, and we tried double staining, with successful ILM peeling. At the end of surgery, patient was left with C3F8 and facedown. In 5 weeks, we were able to assess de macula, the MP3 revealed stable fixation.
