Canabrava's 4-flanged Technique in Luxated Akreos IOL

Abstracts

In this video we show a 4-flanged IOL fixation technique described by Dr Sergio Canabrava in a patient with an Akreos IOL in the vitreous cavity. That is a good technique for those cases and needs no sutures neither IOL explantation. The authors agree that the distance between flanges may be bigger than in the video (3,5mm instead of 2mm) , and the needle incisions with tunnelization would make the flanges more stable. The results in this patient were very good with no astigmatism and VA 20/20
