Management of multiple subretinal bands through small retinotomies

Abstracts

This video shows the management of a complex retinal detachment occurred as a complication of a penetrating ocular trauma. In this particular case, the surgery was consider because the fellow eye presented severe macular edema due to branch retinal vein occlusion. In removing the band, the surgeon should anticipate the angle at which the forceps will pass through the access retinotomy to grasp the band. An outstanding anatomic outcome was achieved since the first day after surgery.
