Abstract General Information
Title
Limited Vitrectomy for Ancient Tractional Retinal Detachment
Abstracts
We report a case of a tractional pseudophakic RD with esotropia of the RE and nystagmus. The patient’s VA was 20/800 in his RE and HM on the LE that was submitted to a vitrectomy before. We perform in his RE a more limited surgery with the goal to clean the vitreous and remove any membranes over the posterior pole since a more aggressive surgical approach performed to the LE led to only subjective visual improvement. This limited surgical approach led to a faster significant visual improvement.
