The patient performed an encircling scleral buckel using a 242 band. During the procedure there was an inadvertent scleral perforation and drenage of subretinal fluid. This complication didn't cause retinal perfuration and the patient had a favorable evolution, with visual acuity increase to 20/40 after 45 days of surgery.
