CLINICAL CORRELATION BETWEEN OCT, ANGIOFLUORESCEINOGRAPY, VISUAL FIELD AND RETINOGRAPHY FOR DETECTION OF RETINAL INTOXICATION IN PATIENTS USING HIDROXYCLOROQUINE.
Hidroxicloroquine is one of the drugs used in treatment of reumatism. Besides its good response in this desease it may cause
side effects such as sub retinal deposits.
This deposits may cause vison loss, metamorphopsy, decrease visual field and retinal atrophy,
The diagnosis is based on ophthalmology exam, visual field, oct or angiofluoresceinograpy.

The risk to developing retinophaty is related with the doses used and duration of the treatment. At recommended doses the
risnk is less than 1% at 5 years.
The two exams recomended to screening are the visual field and the OCT.
Besides this two exams we decided to do a AGF and it also showed the defect so it may be used to screenig
hidroxycloroquine intoxication.
