Abstracts

The authors present a new technique for the removal of subretinal membranes in a cord format by positioning the trocar in the subretinal space, without transfixin of the retina.thus creating a permanent penetration path by placing and removing the instruments many times as necessary , may or may not infuse BSS to create a space to better approach the membrane
The advantage of this technique is not requiring retinotomy and therefore avoids many complications like per , bleeding or redetachment
